I promised myself that I would finish these two readings, so I'm currently tucked away in the library until I finish them. And then...it's time to kick a football!
I had my 9-month post-op appointment with my surgeon yesterday. I have been cleared for a return to all regular physical activity, which includes football (so long as I wear my brace). I told him that I was in school until August (the 1-year anniversary of my surgery), and he thought that my safest bet would be to practice on my own until the end of term (e.g., juggling, kicking a ball around with friends in the same casual way we'd throw around a frisbee, etc). I would then get back into competitive football in mid-August (coincidentally, the same month in which the Premiership will resume).
So I brought my football and indoor field shoes to school. I can't wait to get out there. The thought of being able to do this again feels so...luxurious.
