A strategy of Aboyne?
Apr. 21st, 2008 08:58 amSo the Conservatives decided to invite "selected" reporters to a news briefing yesterday about the RCMP search of their headquarters. Of course, everyone else got wind of the meeting and it had to be moved. Did they really think that this meeting with reporters would be kept secret in Ottawa? More than a little naïve, to put it politely.
In personal news, the house has been painted and we're still busy cleaning and unpacking. My office is now in working order, and my books are on my bookshelves for the first time since November (cue rhythm-impaired celebration dance). Being Le Grand Nerd that I am, I'm debating ordering my books according to the DDC, now that LibraryThing (my current obsession) provides both DDC and LCC numbers automatically.
I'm at the halfway point of Life, Money, and Illusion. It's okay, but nothing really special. I wish the author provided more examples to back up his claims. And the editing is terrible (some apostrophes are missing, for Gaia's sake!). After this, I'm going to be reading about some books about Canadian copyright.
Happy Monday!
