Another story about the Conservatives trying to muzzle its own scientists: Environment Canada scientists told to toe the line (National Post)

Apparently, no operational meteorologist from Environment Canada was even allowed to comment on the snowstorm that hit Ontario on Friday....not until it got cleared by the government's communications people. As a result, Environment Canada won't be allowed to make any kind of statement until Monday about the storm - and even then, only an "approved" message will be allowed to go out.

Sheesh. This paranoia is almost Saturday-morning-cartoonish.
