I'm stressing a little about my first paper. due on Monday. I revised it last night and now have a second draft. It looks much better after the revision but I'm still worried. I'll revise it again today and hopefully that will do because I have other stuff on my plate. I'll feel better when I start getting some grades back and I have some idea of the expectations and how close I am to meeting them.

I have a small topic paper about leadership due for Thursday's management class, too. I crawled to three different campus libraries over the past two days to collect photocopies of relevant articles, in addition to the online resources that I managed to mine. (Side note: one thing I love about being back in university is that so many databases and services for which I would have to pay as a regular joe are included.)

Yesterday I met my mentor. They have this great program where first-termers canchoose to be paired up with someone in their second- or third-term. My mentor is also a mature student and we seem to be very alike in study habits and (from what I gathered) writing style. He settled me down and reassured me that I'll do fine. So I have someone that I can pester with an e-mail question every now and again.

I had a really bad night of sleep. I went to bed at 12:45am and woke up an hour later, wide awake for no reason that I could understand. So I read most of Blankets. It felt great to read again. It's a great book, too.

That's my disjointed update. Back to work!
